Doughjangles officially launched in January 2010. In 2008 baking cookies was a way to deal with the grief of losing my twin brother, Eric, to malignant brain tumors. The suggestion to bake was given to me by my doctor, Marilyn McPherson-Corder. I wantd to build a business out of something that made me happy. Baking with my mom is one of thoses things.
Doughjangles has allowed us to achieve our goal of giving back to those who helped our family during Eric's illness and after his death by donating a portion of our profits to those organizations. See our recent donations in our periodic newsletter, The Cookie Jar.
